Postal box is something a business can’t do without. Although most business nowadays operate using emails as suppose to letters, it is a useful requirement needed for registering of KRA PIN, Business Permit, Opening Bank Account, NSSF/NHIF Registration, Company Stamp and many more.
It can also be used for company address on Letterhead, Business Card, Brochures, Website. The list is endless on how useful and crucial a postal box is to any business planning to start a business in Kenya.
Here are some of the requirements you need to have in order to register your postal box for your Sole Proprietor Business;

  • Gender
  • ID/Passport No.
  • Specific Area of Trade

Cost: Ksh. 2500 annually (Every month of June)
Duration: 2-3 working days
You are advised that if Postal Corporation of Kenya (PCK) notice that you are using an individual box to receive corporate mail, then they will give you 2 months notice to change the box into a corporate.
A notification for renewal of the postal box will be placed in your box. You will be expected to make payment to renew it before the expiry date to avoid it being re-allocated to someone else.
