When upgrading your sole proprietor to become a limited company, you will need to have a copy of your sole proprietor business certificate.
You will also need to have your eCitizen account so that ‘link a business’ process can be carried out.
Once that is complete, the cessation process will begin where your sole proprietor business will cease, to allow the formation of your limited company.
The government will use the information on your eCitizen account to verify the ownership of the business before they approve any cessation process.
The registration process usually takes 2 weeks or less depending on company registry workload and processing speed, your requirements availability and readiness with payment required for eCitizen registration fees.
